2D & 3D CAD Drawing

Purbrook Engineering are experienced in producing 3D CAD models and 2D CAD manufacturing drawings either from design concepts or existing parts.

We use the latest CAD software from Autodesk and can export model in the universal STEP, IGES or STL formats for 3D files or as DXF, PDF formats for 2D manufacturing drawings.

Using the 3D models we produce in CAD we are able to produce CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) programes to run our CNC machines to produce accurate components with quality finishes. This combination provides an excellent 'one stop shop' for prototype parts.

CNC Milling & Turning

With CNC turning, material is held in a chuck and rotated while a computer controlled tool moved to remove material precisely and efficiently to create the component required.

Our CNC lathe has multiple tooling mounted on a rotating turret which is automatically selected and changed by the programmed computer providing repeatable accurate parts efficiently.

With CNC milling, the material is held stationary and a computer controlled rotating cutter is moved to produce the required profile.

Our 4 axis CNC mill can be used to manufacture more complex parts and also post process CNC turned parts as required.

Combined with our Design, 3D CAD and CAM programming capabilities we are able to provide you with a flexible and adaptable 'one stop shop' service for your prototype and production parts.

Why are we different?
We are able to provide a complete solution from concept to component and are setup to be reactive. We do not rely on our CNC machines producing high volume manufacture and are therefore able to take the time to produce prototype and concept parts quickly and efficiently to the quality you require.
